The thing about two-year-olds is you never know what they're going to do. Take last year at the TVG Juvenile Championship, a matchup of the best young Thoroughbred colts in the world. Someone forget to tell STORM THE COURT that he was a 45-1 underdog. The colt carried the race wire-to-wire, paying $93 on a $2 win ticket.

What will happen this year at Keeneland when the TVG Juvenile posts again? Anything can happen. The field of eight is pure electric talent.

Leading the way is JACKIE'S WARRIOR, trained by the notable Steven Asmussen. With three wins in three starts, the colt has already amassed winnings of $265,064. Competing with him will be the equally undefeated ESSENTIAL QUALITY, with two wins in two starts and earnings of $295,144. Luis Saez will be in the irons and Brad Cox is the trainer.

Next up is GET HER NUMBER, the winner of the American Pharoah Stakes at Santa Anita. The colt has earned $219,000 in three starts and two wins. The jockey will be Flavien Prat and the trainer is Peter Miller. Also at the gate will be WESTON, a winner in two of his three starts with career earnings of $150,000. Trained by Ryan Hanson, WESTON will be guided by jockey Drayden Van Dyke, who is having an outstanding campaign in 2020.

Another colt not to be overlooked is the aptly named KEEP ME IN MIND, who has been out of the gate twice and placed twice in two important stakes races, with career earnings of $95,280. Trainer Robertino Diodoro will have jockey David Cohen in the irons. Placing second to GET HER NUMBER in the American Pharoah Stakes is the impressive colt ROMBAUER, who has one win and one place in three starts and a winning purse of $90,500. Trained by the highly regarded Michael McCarthy, jockey Mike Smith will be up.

SITTING ON GO is another of the undefeated colts, with two wins in two starts and career money of $145,520. Ridden by Corey Lanerie, he's trained by Dale Romans. With him in the gate will be PICKIN' TIME, who has two wins and a place in his four starts, with earnings of $129,025. Jockey Joe Bravo will be in the irons for trainer Kelly Breen.

The TVG Juvenile is a dirt race of 1-1/16 miles for a guaranteed purse of $2,000,000. Year to year, it's also a preview of coming greatness.
