The Kentucky Downs meet just kicked off this past weekend and jockey Jose Ortiz is out for the remainder of the meet due to COVID.

He rode in seven races on Monday, finishing second on three mounts including the WinStar Mint Million Stakes (G3T) aboard SOMELIKEITHOTBROWN.

His agent, Jimmy Riccio, stated, "Yesterday, he wasn't feeling well and took a test, and it came up positive. It's not like he's doing really bad - congested and stuff like that. So he is going to be off the rest of the Kentucky Downs meet. We're just happy he's doing alright, and we'll be back for Belmont."
