Juddmonte Royal Lodge Stakes (Group 2) (Colts & Geldings) Cl1 (2yo) 1m

1 – Corobus – Draw 2

·         Nice run in first out in novice race

·         Moved well throughout the race and on terms with 3 furlongs to go and keep on

·         Last race was today's distance, on one other horse in this field has gone and won at the 1-mile distance

·         Race speed was 2.26sec behind the standard, so fast race for 2-year old's

·         The dam won on various types of track condition as did the sire

2 – Howth – Draw 4

·         Last race, dwelt at the start and lack room at the 2 furlongs, pressed the leaders but didn't have finish

·         Only 1 win and 1 placing from 6 starts

·         His only win was at 1 mile at Killarney, he was the favorite and placed an average field in the nursery race

·         The race was 7.31 second above the standard

5 – Royal Patronage – Draw 1

·         Winner of last 2 races at 7 furlongs

·         Went off at 25-1 in last race and beat listed winner next time out Noble Truth

·         Will be on the lead to take them down the race course, can he hang vs this group?

·         Breeding says on the dam side that a distance of 1 ½ miles can be done

·         On the sire side, he was a sprinter and never won beyond 7 furlongs

·         Hopefully the dam side will win out...

·         Sprint race on the race card too tough for him or waiting to move up to group 1?

Juddmonte Cheveley Park Stakes (Group 1) (Fillies) Cl1 (2yo) 6f

12 – Velocidad – Draw 6

·         Toss the last race, after 2 wins (one in a group 2) he ran a "green" race at Deauville

·         Winner of first 2 starts then a bust 9 (short field in the group 2 race)

·         Winner on both Good to Firm and Soft to Heavy, adapts?

·         Sire was a winner at 7 furlongs and 1 mile, dam never won and has produced 1 other winner

·         I think she is a better horse than the last race and she will show it here

13 – Zain Claudette – Draw 1

·         1 placing and 3 wins from her 4 starts

·         Last one was impressive and the time was 0.86 seconds above the standard

·         Very, very fast race for 2-year-olds

·         Has beaten some the horses this race

·         Steps up, as most do in this race, a winner at group 2 & 3 levels

·         Wins are all on good to firm going

·         Draw 1 sucks

2 – Desert Dreamer

·         In the money in 5 out of 6 starts

·         Only bad (really bad) race was at Royal Ascot. Dwelt at the start and she was done of the day, we can toss this race

·         Been running second or third against Zain Claudette, Sandrine and System

·         Last 3 races at group level

·         Another one stepping up to group 1 company

Juddmonte Middle Park Stakes (Group 1) (Colts) Cl1 (2yo) 6f

4 – Caturra – Draw 5

·         In the rear of the field, on the near side was push and finished with something left

·         1 win at the distance from 3 tries (one at Royal Ascot and one at Goodwood)

·         Sire and dam were both sprinters never winning past 7 furlongs. Dam has produced one other runner who's a winner at sprint distances

6 – Go Bears Go – Draw 4

·         Started fine in last race, good effort but no match for the winner – group 1 race but ran third

·         He has won 2 (one group 2 race) and placed twice

·         Last 2 races are strong speed figures Dam

·         Dam has produced 6 winner from 7 starts and they are winning at race over 1 mile plus

·         Sire was a top miler when he races and produced

·         Maybe should be running in longer races or not until 3 year old?

9 – Perfect Power

·         Winner last out at Deauville in group 1 at same distance, beat a couple in this race

·         He's run one poor race and the jockey comment to the stewards was "he hung left-handed"

·         He made a good move going forward in that race but didn't keep a straight course, a mess of a race.

·         Remember, he won his next start

·         Dam was a distance horse, winning at 1 mile plus, this is the first foal

·         Sire was a top sprinter at 5 and 6 furlongs

·         Future top 3-year-old in classic races?
