MIDNIGHT VIGILANCE — Monday, September 27th, 2021 @ Finger Lakes, Race 9.

Post Time is 5:02 PM ET.

Radar Insight: MIDNIGHT VIGILANCE won her debut with ease with top, last race speed figure.

Happy Face Racing Stable's MIDNIGHT VIGILANCE competes in Monday's $117K Lady Finger Stakes at Finger Lakes. It's a six furlong sprint on dirt for two-year-old fillies. She breaks from post eight with an odds of 5-2 for trainer Michael Ferraro and will have Luis Perez back on board. The daughter of DISTORTED HUMOR was smashing last time out in her maiden debut, winning by 4 1/2 lengths as the $1.75-to-win favorite. Not only is she fast out of the gate but she has already registered a front-running win over this track, which earned her the fastest Late Race speed figure of the field and makes her very attractive to bring home the win. The trainer-jockey combo of Ferraro-Perez has converted at an excellent 33% rate, over the past two months.

HARBOR CROSSING — Monday, September 27th, 2021 @ Parx Racing, Race 1.

Post Time is 12:55 PM ET.

Radar Insight: HARBOR CROSSING ran the top, last race speed figure with a jockey-trainer combo that hits at 30% together.

Knollmore Racing's HARBOR CROSSING breaks from the six hole for trainer Penny Pearce, and has been assigned a morning-line odds of 2-1. He exits a neck-victory against weaker competition, but has the wherewithal to step up against these foes and come out the winner. At Parx Racecourse, he's got 2 wins from 3 starts and owns the highest Early Race speed figures out of this group. He's got good :22.2 early zip to contend with, and a rider in Abner Adorno who knows him well; he has piloted him in all three previous starts.

The other Need-the-lead types are a notch below HARBOR CROSSING's Early Speed figures, which could permit the gelded son of NORUMBEGA to get away with moderate maybe even unpressured opening fractions. In that case, watch out for him to shake loose and be super tough to reel in. The Pearce-Adorno connection has converted at a solid 30% rate, over the last 60 days.
