DENNIS' MOMENT hasn't quite had his moment. He was on the brink after breaking his maiden in epic fashion last year at Ellis Park and then taking the Iroquois Stakes at Churchill to earn his way in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile. He was on his way to a really big moment. A chance to put his name down in history.

But then, he stumbled out of the gates in the Juvenile, and even with Irad Ortiz, Jr. on his back, there was nothing he could do, and finished last. He tried again with Flavien Prat in the Fountain of Youth Stakes at Gulfstream, but yet it was another no go. Another fast placed finish.

DENNIS' MOMENT is getting another shot. This time at Churchill Downs on November 25th in the 8th. It's an allowance optional claiming race, but it's a chance to prove himself again. The field consists of a few other horses who had a moment, but are now looking for another redeeming one.

DEAN MARTINI is the 2020 Ohio Derby winner. TELEPHONE TALKER has had two wins in a row and MAILMAN MONEY, who ran in the Risen Star and Louisiana Derby.

DENNIS is looking good though. Trainer Dale Romans still thinks he is the "best 3-year-old in the country." He has recently had a few impressive workouts and is looking at his chance get his moment. Who knows? If he performs well, he may be headed to the Pegasus World Cup.
