Live racing at Golden Gate Fields has been suspended through at least the rest of November after over 200 people living or working at the racetrack have tested positive for the virus.

The City of Berkeley Public Health and 1/ST Racing, which operates the track are working together on testing and quarantine. Those who are not living at the track are isolated and the track is assisting those that require off-site housing as well as twice-daily food delivery and other essential items.

Those who have had close contact but have also tested negative are required to quarantine for 14 days and the track is also providing those individuals with food delivery as well as access to medical support.
