Ready to add another top horse to your MyRacehorse Stable? The website is now allowing members to "Indicate Interest" in their newest stakes-winning acquisition - COLLUSION ILLUSION. owns 25% of the horse, who is currently valued at $2,200,000. For just $30 you can purchase a 0.001% share of the Southern California Grade 1 winner. Twenty-five thousand shares will be sold.

COLLUSION ILLUSION is a 5-year-old bay colt by TWIRLING CANDY and out of NATALIE GRACE (by FIRST DUDE). TWIRLING CANDY is the son of CANDY RIDE. He is trained by Mark Glatt.

The colt has had a total of 8 starts with a record of 5-0-1. His lifetime earnings stand at $422,751. He has three first-place stakes race finishes including the Best Pal Stakes (G2), Lazaro Barrera Stakes (G3), and the Bing Crosby Stakes (G1). He placed third in the Santa Anita Sprint Championship Stakes (G2) and was a participant in the Breeders' Cup Sprint (G1). While he finished out of the money in the Sprint, he was in some tough company with a 15 horse field that included WHITMORE, FIRENZE FIRE, C Z ROCKET, HOG CREEK HUSTLE, and many more top sprinters.

While the two turns don't appear to be his race of preference, trainer Mark Glatt does believe he will handle the one-turn mile well and is looking at the Metropolitan Mile at Belmont Park in 2021 as his next big start.

His sire, TWIRLING CANDY, shows the potential of his sire, CANDY RIDE. The stallion won at distances from 6 ½ to 9 furlongs. He won on all surfaces - dirt, turf, and synthetic - and has passed that ability along to his offspring as well. He is the sire of Grade 1 winners CONCRETE ROSE, GIFT BOX, and FINLEY'SLUCKYCHARM as well as the Grade 2 millionaire MORTICIA.

Since AUTHENTIC's championship season winning the Haskell, Kentucky Derby, and the Breeders' Cup Classic after MyRacehorse became a partner, the demand for micro share ownership with the website has increased tremendously. The site recently offered shares in all 17 yearlings they purchased and all sold out to current members before they could even be offered to the general public. Fourteen of those yearlings were offered in the Future Stars Bundle for just $50.

Last week MyRacehorse announced their new Edge program. The program includes a dedicated Edge Racing Manager to provide communication regarding the horses and partners will have access to the trainers, jockeys, exercise riders, and caretakers. They are also eligible for an owner's license and access to the stables, paddock, upgraded track accommodations, and Winners' Circle, once COVID restrictions allow. The first horse in the program is ESCAPE ROUTE. Ten percent shares were offered at $6,295. Additional fees are associated with this program including quarterly training bills. ESCAPE ROUTE won the tenth race at Del Mar last Sunday and shortly after members of MyRacehorse noted online that the program sold out.

However they slice it, MyRacehorse is an affordable option if you want to experience the thrill of being an owner without the true costs of racehorse ownership.
