The Maryland Juvenile Filly Championship Stakes is for Maryland-bred/sired juvenile fillies running seven furlongs on the dirt for $100,000 in purse money.

LIAM'S MISSY went to the front to set the pace with early fractions of :22.70 and :46.47 but began to tire in the stretch. TRIP TO FREEDOM followed her closely pressing the pace but also tired at the stretch. STREET LUTE stalked the pace on the inside down the backstretch going three wide on the turn. She held on under strong urging from jockey XAVIER PEREZ and took the win by nearly two lengths followed by JUROR NUMBER FOUR who raced six wide in the stretch and closed well to get the place. MAXINE'S TAP ROOM settled off the early pace and went five wide in the upper stretch and finished third. The final time was 1:24.83.

STREET LUTE is a chestnut filly by STREET MAGICIAN out of a MIDNIGHT LUTE mare. She is owned by Lucky 7 Stables and trained by John Robb.
