#5 Reticent - A lot of these horses have had plenty of chances to break their
maiden and they can't get over the hump. In these types of races, you have to
look at the horses that have run fewer times. That makes you look at the #4
French Toast who is debuting and the # 5 Reticent. I like the fact the #5 at
least has run one race compared to the #4. In that race the #5 had a bumped
start and came on to finish 4th at the end. The trainer's #'s with horses
exactly like this are really good. The one that sticks out is Englehart
produces 28 % winners for horses making their 2nd career maiden
start. Others to use: #1 Ratify- You have to use this horse in all exotics as
the horse loves to finish 2ND. The horse has 5 2nds in 9 career
starts which includes finishing 2nd in all 3 of his dirt races.
#4 French Toast- As mentioned above have to use the horses
with less starts and this will be his first. You have a great jockey/ trainer
combo in Kendrick Carmouche and Michael Maker; workouts are decent.

#1 - Ratify has ran second 5 out of 9 races. With Trevor in the irons
Ratify should no longer be a maiden at the end of the race.
#6 – This Ill Defend is returning after a short rest. He has
been working regularly for his return.
#5 – Reticent had plenty of trouble in his first race and
still ran a decent 4th.
# 9- Magic Mojo has plenty of speed and has Lezcano in the
irons.

#4 French Toast – with this group of horses, why not? Mike Maker firster with
Kendrick Carmouche riding for the Repole Stable. They paid $300k and now at 4,
the horse gets it's first start at $40k claimer. They gave up? Or want to get a
win and want someone claims the horse. On the Dam side, she was a winner in her
race career and has product 3 starters with 2 of them winning. It's a very
challenging race.

The rail wins at hefty 22%. #1 Ratify should be a little closer to the front in
a race without a ton of speed. He's run his best closer to the front. #9 Magic
Mojo ran the top, last race speed figure and ran one of his better races off
the bench, like today.

Aqueduct Race 7: $50,000 Allowance
Shawn:
Commentary:
#2 Beaver Creek - This was a very tough call between this horse and the #9 Much
Trouble. Deciding factor between the two was post position and that there is an
inside bias at Aqueduct. The #2 is the most lightly raced horse in the field
and if you throw out his first start his last 2 starts were good enough to win
this race. Has some speed and can also close.
#9 Much Trouble- 6 out of his 11 career races has finished
in the exacta, Has about the same results on the dirt and turf. What I really
like is this is his return race to the dirt, and I think much improved since he
last ran on dirt. This is his second start off a year and half layoff. This can
be a good angle and an angle that the trainer does well at. Michael Maker hits
at 33% second start off a 180+ day layoff.
#10 Jake Rocks - There is a lot of speed in this race and I
think the #10 can be one that will benefit with the outside post and sitting
off the speed. He finished ahead of the #2 last race so if I like the #2 you
have to like the #10 as well. I think this horse should be only used in exotics
more than win bets.

# 2 - Beaver Creek had a little trouble in his last race but should run
well here staying close to the early speed and win at the wire.
#4- Cavaradossi is having a good year improving each of the
last three races. He loves the distance and track, winning at Aqueduct at 50%
clip!
# 1- Siena Magic has plenty of speed and breaks from the one
hole with horses winning at a 20% clip from that post position.
# 10- Jake Rocks just missed in his last two races.

There are so many horses that want the lead or will be close to pace in this
race, I will take #2 Beaver Creek first time blinkers should help this horse.
Maiden was a hard-fought race and last out, he had some problems and went 4
wide to get 3rd. Faces some of the same horse today and should be up in time
for the win.

You could make a case for a lot in here. #9 Much Trouble should be better in
his second start following a lot of time in the barn. #1 Siena Magic likes
Aqueduct with a pair or wins and seconds in five starts and offers a good
price.

Aqueduct Race 8: $40,000 Optional Claiming

Commentary:
#8 Miss Jimmy- 15 out of 17 lifetime starts she has finished in the exacta.
There also seems to be a lot of speed in this race which will fit right into
her style. Hard to pick against this horse. The only issue will be you will not
get very good value. This would be a good horse to single for all multi race
bets.
#4 Baby Boss - I was
going to use her as the top pick with all the front running speed and just hope
she was the speed of the peed. However, with all the speed in this race and how
effective the #8 has been I couldn't put her as the top pick. I also noticed
and was amazed with the stat that trainer Jamie Ness is 0 for 9 at NYRA the
last 5 years.
#6 Doll- Was very
hard to find another horse that was usable that didn't need the lead. This
horse has speed but also has run races where it was able to sit off the speed.
Has finished in exacta in 9 of 13 races.

#6
- Doll is dropping in class and has finished 100% of the time in the money at
this distance and track.
#4
- Baby Boss has plenty of early speed and has a great jockey/trainer-(Trevor
McCarthy/Jamie Ness) combination in a wide open race.
#8
- Miss Jimmy has won 70% of the time at Aqueduct winning 5 out of 7 starts.
#2
