Pressed by MAYTHEHORSEBWITHU, KENNY HAD A NOTION ran fractions of :23.14 and :46.47. SHACKQUEENKING joined the chase briefly. The pair edged away from the field at the top of the stretch and battled to the wire. KENNY HAD A NOTION hit the wire to win by a neck. The pair finished two lengths ahead of SHACKQUEENKING in third.

KENNY HAD A NOTION has been a winner on both turf and dirt throughout his juvenile season. He won the 5 ½ furlong Jamestown Stakes on the turf at Laurel in October as well as at six and seven furlongs on the dirt. He is ridden by Jorge Ruiz for trainer Dale Capuano.

$100,000 Xtra Heat

STREET LUTE bumped her winning streak to four, all stakes races with a dominating finish in the $100,000 Xtra Heat at six furlongs.

TRIP TO FREEDOM set the pace early with a fast :22.51 quarter mile. Running clear and two wide, STREET LUTE dominated at the half and kept rolling for home. MISS LESLIE finished second with the 30-1 longshot, BREEZE OFF THE BAY, following 3 ¾ lengths back in third.

STREET LUTE, by STREET MAGICIAN, overcame an eye injury and surgery to win her debut in September at Delaware Park. She is owned by Lucky 7 Stables and trained by Jerry Robb.
