If you were still watching racing after the Pegasus World Cup, you might have tuned in to Santa Anita Park to watch the $200K Palos Verdes Stakes (G3) — won by WILDMAN JACK. Ridden by jockey Abel Cedillo for trainer Doug O'Neill, owned by Glenn Sorgenstein WC Racing Inc.

WILDMAN JACK broke alertly and had a stalking trip sitting a few lengths off pacesetter CAPTAIN SCOTTY, who zipped through early fractions of 22.01, 44.52 going six furlongs on a fast dirt track. Under a quarter left to go, WILDMAN JACK had cruised up alongside CAPTAIN SCOTTY effortlessly before taking command easily in the stretch and strolling home. He stopped the clock in 1:08.98. SHASHASHAKEMEUP finished second, PYRON got up from last to finish third.

WILDMAN JACK paid $13.20 to win, $6.40 to place, $4.20 to show.
