CHESS'S DREAM captured Gulfstream Park's $100K Kitten's Joy Stakes for jockey Tyler Gaffalione, trainer Michael Maker, and owners Michael Dubb, Steven Bouchey, Bethlehem Stables LLC, and Chester A. Bishop.

The field broke clean and CHESS'S DREAM found a position midpack along the fence in fourth. Front runner ORIGINAL led the field through early fractions of 23.30, 47.54, 1:11.90. CHESS'S DREAM continued his stalking trip all the way into the turn, where the rail would open up and he'd dash on through to a ground saving victory. It was a convincing win as no closers threatened the winner. The 1-5 favorite NEVER SURPRISED kept up for second place, and ORIGINAL, a nose back, held for third. The final time was 1:35.18 for one mile on the firm turf.

CHESS'S DREAM paid $18.60 to win, $4.20 to place, $2.80 to show. That's two consecutive wins for this JESS'S DREAM colt out of a BELLAMY ROAD mare in ACHALAYA.
