The $125K Premier Championship was won by UNDERPRESSURE, ridden by Gerard Melancon, for trainer Chris Richard, and owner Mallory Greiner — in a come from behind win, successfully defending his title.

UNDERPRESSURE broke with the field, but was guided to the back as DOUBLE STAR made the lead. POUND FOR POUND, after stumbling at the start, ran up to be second. They ran the opening quarter in 23.88 and the half in 48.46. Gerard Melancon starts to get UNDERPRESSURE going and improves to be within two lengths off the lead, despite going five wide. DOUBLE STAR goes with him, the others fall behind. UNDERPRESSURE sustains his rally and goes on to win by ¾ of a length over DOUBLE STAR. JIMI'S A STAR finish's third. The third quarter went in 1:13.82, and the final time for one mile and one sixteenth was 1:46.60.

UNDERPRESSURE paid $4.80 to win, $2.80 to place, and $2.40 to show. He's the son of BIRDSTONE out of CHARMING COLLEEN by CHARISMATIC. The 7-year-old recorded a 91 Equibase Figure for this victory and pushed his earning to $838,182 from 14 lifetime wins.

The $100K Premier Starlet was won by AUSTRALASIA, ridden by Diego Saenz, trained by Brad Cox, and owned by Jean Etienne Dubois — in a dominant win.

AUSTRALASIA broke well, and was sent to the lead where she'd be joined by EILEEN ALEXANDRIA, and they'd match strides through an opening quarter of 23.71. WINNING ROMANCE shot through an opening in the rail making it three wide by the half mile mark, going 49.35. Diego Saenz gives AUSTRALASIA her cue and they make an early move to steal the race, quickly opening by two lengths approaching the turn. AUSTRALASIA then widens her lead to four lengths. EILEEN ALEXANDRA cannot challenge and settles for second, WINNING ROMANCE ran third.

The third quarter went in 1:13.74 and the final time over the fast track was 1:39.45.

AUSTRALASIA paid $2.60 to win, $2.10 to place, and $2.10 to show.

She's the daughter of SKY KINGDOM out of AYALA STRAND by TIZNOW. She's now won three in a row, and earned a 90 Equibase Figure, the highest of her three wins so she's on the improve.

The $100K Premier Prince was won by STANDING PERFECT, ridden by Ashley Broussard, trained by Thomas Lee, and owned by Respect the Valleys, LLC — in a battle.

An exciting stretch drive transpired between STANDING PERFECT and JIMMY TWO TIMES. STANDING PERFECT prevailed, which was a huge effort since he was restless in the gate, hopping in place, then breaking left.

As it happened, Ashley Broussard positioned STANDING PERFECT midpack while G'WILDCAT made the front, leading through fractions of. 23.79, 48.84. They raced in a tight group along the back stretch and into the turn. JIMMY TWO TIMES and STANDING PERFECT were sent and they ran past the field to duke out on the stretch. STANDING PERFECT's best stride was enough to surge late. JIMMY TWO TIMES settles for second, WISE VERDICT flew to nip third. The final time was 1:41.23.

STANDING PERFECT paid $6.40 to win, $3.20 to place, and $2.40 to show. He is the son of HALF HOURS out of STAND BY FOR NEWS by MAJESTICPERFECTION. He's now won three of his last four races.

The $100K Premier Sprint was won by NO PAROLE, ridden by Diego Saenz, trained by Thomas Amoss, and owned by Maggi Moss and Greg Tramontin. NO PAROLE was bet down to 1-9 and won as convincingly like a $0.10$ favorite should. Impressive win.

NO PAROLE broke out on top and made the lead with BERTIE'S GALAXY showing speed with him. They'd lead through an opening quarter of 22.11 and a half mile in 44.93. It's a two horse race all the way until three furlongs to go. BERTIE'S GALAXY looms up within a neck of the lead. But nothing doing — NO PAROLE accelerated and opened up by three to win easily. BERTIE's GALAXY finished second, DOUBLE BARREL MAN made a late move to get up for third. The final time for the five furlong race was 57.37.

NO PAROLE paid $2.20 to win, $2.10 to place, and $2.10 to show. He's by VIOLENCE out of PLUS ONE by BLUEGRASS CAT. He's now 2 for 2 at Delta Downs.

The $100K Premier Distaff was won by QUIKFAST N AHURRY, ridden by Gerard Melancon, trained by Steven Flint, and owned by Whispering Oaks Farm LLC — in a gutsy drive.

QUIKFAST N AHURRY broke well but was taken back to race in 5th, while SARAH'S PASSION made the front and led through fractions of 23.40, 48.48, 1:13.86. As they raced along the back stretch, SAINTS N MUSKETS from midpack made a move for the lead, QUICKFAST N AHURRY followed three wide. Then SNOWBALL from the back group came circling the field as well. These three hit the stretch together. Ultimately, QUICKFAST N AHURRY had the strongest late kick, and surged forward to win by ¾ of lengths. SAINTS N MUSKETS got second by a nose over SNOWBALL in third. The final time for the mile was 1:41.12.

QUIKFAST N AHURRY paid $12.00 to win, $5.40 to place, and $4.00 to show. He's the son of CLOSING ARGUMENT out of WYNNING RIDE by CANDY RIDE. He's now won two in a row and posted his best Equibase Figure of 84.

The $100K Premier Matron was won by SOUTHERN BEAUTY, ridden by Diego Saenz, for trainer W. Bred Calhoun, and for owner Allied Racing Stable, LLC — in a commanding win.

SOUTHERN BEAUTY broke alertly and raced in fourth among a tight group, just two lengths from the lead. FORTY NINE MODEL and OUR LOST LOVE duked it out on the front end through a first quarter of 22.26. By the half mile in 46.47, OUR LOST LOVE put her presser away but the closers were making their moves. MISS PAT'S GIRL, from last, made a sweeping move into the stretch. But Diego Saenz said go with SOUTHERN BEAUTY and her turn of foot was too strong, went on to win by three. OUR LOST LOVE kept on for third. The final time for five furlongs was 59.10.

What a day for jockey Diego Saenz, who won four of the ten races on the card, and Gerard Melancon with three.
