First and foremost, the biggest race of the day, the $20-million Saudi Cup

We saw MISHRIFF steal the show. Jockey David Egan Jr. never let the top two favorites — CHARLATAN and KNICKS GO — get too far ahead of his horse. The decision produced the stunning victory, at odds of 20-1.

The final time was 1:49.6 for the one mile and one-eighth distance on the dirt. The winning connections were trainer John Gosden and owner Prince A. A. Faisal.
