First known as the Fort Erie Tip Sheet Girl, Ashley Mailloux tells us about her trip around the horse racing world. Starting with family days at the track with mom and dad to hosting the Gulfstream's Simulcast for the track's biggest day, the Florida Derby card.

It's been an amazing trip around the track for her. Hopefully, her picks (and ours) are as amazing for the Gulfstream Park Oaks  (race 12), Orchid Stakes  (race 13) and the Florida Derby (race14).

You can follow Ashley on Twitter at @ashley_mailloux and Facebook at

It's another fun show with a great guest, you don't want to miss it.

Swiss Army Shawn's Selection

#1 Con Lima- She is the best horse in the race with the best rider Irad Ortiz Jr. Also has the best pace scenario with it favoring her speed on a speed track.  With all those things in her favor sign me up. The only issue is what price will we get? She has finished in the exacta all 8 of her starts winning half of them. She comes back to dirt after winning 3 of 4 races on turf.

#3 Crazy Beautiful- She will be the one coming late. I think she gets into the exacta like she has in 5 of her 6 starts. This is her 2nd start after an almost 4 month break.

#6 Millefeuille- She is the wildcard horse in here. She had a great start to her career with her first 3 races. She won one and got second in 2 other races missing out by ¾ of a length in each. Has the highest beyer 86 by any horse in this race which was 2 starts ago however she also has one of the lowest which was her last start 48.  That race was her first in about 3 months so was it rust or is this a different horse?

Plays: $30 win #1 $2 Exbox 1,3,6

#4 Morning Molly- Has been in the exacta in 7 straight races and hasn't lost by more then 3/4‘s of a length. I vision her being on the lead but she can sit right off the pace as well. Has run and done well on 3 different turf curses so far. This will be her first try on Gulfstream's turf. Doesn't matter her odds as she has won at 32 to 1 before on the turf and finished 2nd at 11 to 1 last race.

#9 Always Shopping- She will be another one near the lead. She loves the Gulfstream turf winning 3 of her 4 races on it. Gets leading rider Irad Ortiz Jr. for third straight race has won the previously two.

#5 Sorrel (IRE)-  Will be looking for her 4th straight win in her first race in the US. It will also be her first race in 5 months. She has the talent to win and might be better then the other horses in here. I just can't make her my top pick because of the layoff and first race in the US.

Plays: $20 win #4 $1 Exbox 4,5,9

#7 Greatest Honour- Will be one of the Kentucky Derby favorites.  He is looking for his 4th straight win. Last start looked like he was done as he was being urged and wasn't doing anything then all of sudden turned it on and mowed them down in the stretch easily.

#1 Nova Rags- Lightly raced has 3 really good races and only one bad one. I think sitting right off the pace should get a nice trip and a nice finish here.

#5 Known Agenda- Has won 2 of 3 career races at this distance. He gets Irad Ortiz Jr. up for second straight race. Did beat #7 Greatest Honour by a head in 2nd career start.

Plays: $10 Ex 7/1,5 $1 Tri 7/1,5,9,10/1,5,9,10

Hollywood Hay's Handicapping

Race 12

#3 Crazy Beautiful is Grade 1 stakes-placed at this distance. She is returning from the layoff and finished second in the 1-mile G2 Davona Dale despite having trouble at the starting gate loading.

#1 Con Lima is returning to the main track after campaigning on the turf. She has finished in the money 100% of the time winning 50% of those starts during her career.

#2 Bow Bow Girl is versatile, she can run on top or come from off the pace. She just won at Gulfstream at this distance and can repeat.

Race 13

#9 Always Shopping is dropping back a furlong to a mile and three-eights after receiving an impressive Beyer number of 94 in the mile and half G3 La Prevoyante. Trainer Todd Pletcher and Irad are going for 3 in a row with Always Shopping.

#7 Delta's Kingdom encountered traffic and steadied when finishing 2nd behind Always Shopping in the La Prevoyante.

#2 Enjoyitwhilewecan has finished second in her last two races, improving each race. She has a good Trainer/Jockey combination of Michael Maker and Tyler Gaffalione.

Race 14

#7 Greatest Honour the son of Tapit is stretching out to a mile and eight. He is trying to become the first horse to win the Holy Bull, Fountain of Youth, and the Florida Derby. He will be coming from deep to win his fourth race in a row.

#5 Known Agenda defeated Greatest Honour by a head last November at today's distance. He likes the distance and track, trained by Todd Pletcher and is ridden by Irad Ortiz.

#8 Soup and Sandwich has done everything asked of him winning his first two races of his career. I think he will be definitely in the mix as he steps up to face Grade 1 competition.

Race 12

#1 Con Lima she has been running on the turf lately with good success but her last race, she had trouble at the start. She has the speed to get out from post 1. She has raced on the dirt 4 times with 1 win and 3 places. Top jockey in Irad Ortiz riding for Todd Pletcher trainer.

#6 Millefeuille – toss out last race, she showed some pace and then got shuffled back. Started her racing career running at 1 mile, so distance isn't an issue. She lost a grade 2 race to a good horse 2 starts back with strong pace/speed figures.

#3 Crazy Beautiful will be in the money.

Race 13

#10 Sister Hanan closer to the pace than past races in last race. The trainer spaces her races greater than 30 days throughout her career, so she has need time. She has generally laid off the pace and come on late. She has also dealt with traffic issues and will move between horses. This lightly race 5-year-old mare has run 8 times on the turf and won 3 times. Her record at Gulfstream is 6 starts and 5 in the money finishes with 2 wins. The outside post doesn't hurt her chances. Good work into this race.

#9 Always Shopping has run 4 really good races on the turf. She's won on dirt and turf but putting blinkers on her and turf only is now her game. I think she's the one to beat.

#1 War Like Goddess last race was better than it looks on paper. She was rallying with her late pace. Only 3 starts, so she's still learning.

Race 14

#8 Soup and Sandwich – won his maiden state bred race with very little effort and his next start at Tampa was an impressive up the rail for the win. This is a very nice Florida bred out of a Tapit mare by the top sire Into Mischief so more distance suits him. Very good work on March 12 of 47:60 breezing and then a maintenance work on March 19. Let's see what he can do vs this group.

#7 Greatest Honor is the one to beat and will come from off the pace.

#10 Spielberg is a bit of a mystery here. Bob Baffert doesn't normally ship horses (3-year old's) to Gulfstream so watch out. Remember, this is no Life is Good, his top horse before injury.

Race 9 - Dubai World Cup - $12,000,000

My top choice is Magny Cours – tuned up for this race with a win on the all-weather track at hantilly. This horse has 5 wins from 8 starts on both turf and all-weather. He is a very adaptable horse with William Buick riding also Godolphin owned.

Mystic Guide – very nice effort in the Razorback at Oaklawn last time out. This horse has never been out of the money in its 7 starts. Improving 4 year who has shown this racing ability against some of the better 3 years old's last year. Godolphin owned. Luis Saez has the mount.

Title Ready – nice win at Fair Grounds in grade 3 last time. Dallas Steward has been on a nice roll lately and this 6 year has 25 starts with 5 wins, 6 places and 4 shows. He didn't have a great 2020 but also faced some of the best horses in America.

Looking for some other possible winners or placing horses in Dubai?

Rich's Picks

Race 12

Not much speed here, so I believe the potential pace shape favors and #2 BOW BOW GIRL and #1 CON LIMA. They could run one-two from gate to wire with #6 MILLEFEUILLE and #3 CRAZY BEAUTIFUL trying to chase them down.

Potential wagers:

Wheel the 1 and 2 with the 3, 6 and maybe the 7 in exactas and trifectas.

Pick 3:

Race 12: 1,2 (6 and 3 for scratches)

Race 13: 5,9 (add 7 and 8 if 9 scratches)

Race 14: 5,7,9 (10 if any scratch)

Race 13

Based on the Pick 3, you already know who I like. #9 ALWAYS SHOPPING is the horse to beat. #5 SORREL is a wildcard, but based on race notes, I believe she'll benefit from being forwardly placed in a moderately paced race.

Potential wagers:

Wheel the 9 with the 5, 7 and 8 in exactas and trifectas.

Daily Double:

Race 13: 5,9

Race 14: 5,7,9

Race 14

I am a touch concerned after looking at the numbers that #7 GREATEST HONOUR might be a little tired. He is a young horse making his fourth start in three-months and his final time in the Fountain of Youth was a second slower than the Holy Bull. #5 KNOWN AGENDA and #9 COLLABORATE are going to put GREATEST HONOUR to the test, tired or not.

Potential Wagers:

Exacta Box 5,7,9

Trifecta 5,7,9/5,7,9/5,7,8,9,10
