MIDNIGHT BISOU exited a workout with discomfort at Saratoga September 28th. The mare was sent to Rood & Riddle where she was evaluated by Dr. Larry Bramlage. It was determined that she had a fractured sesamoid in her right detlock, but doid not require surgery. She has since been shipped to WinStar Farm where she will be turned out.

Prior to her injury, her connections had announced that she would be sold with Elit Sales at Fasig-Tipton's The November Sale in November 8th. The plan had been that she would run in the October 4th Juddmonte Spinster Stakes (g1) at Keeneland before a start at the Breeders' Cup.

MIDNIGHT BISOU retires with over $7.4 million in lifetime earnings with a record of 13-6-3 from 22 starts. She raced at 10 different tracks and earned a 2019 Eclipse Award as champion older dirt female. She earned five grade 1 wins in the Santa Anita Oaks, Cotillion Stakes, Apple Blossom Handicap, Ogden Phipps Stakes and Personal Ensign Stakes.

MIDNIGHT BISOU was trained by Steven Asmussen and owned by Bloom Racing Stable, LLC, Madaket Stables LLC and Allen Racing LLC. She was bred by Woodford Thoroughbreds. She RNA'd at the Keeneland September sale for $19,000 but sold as an $80,000 two-year-old at the OBA April sale, purchased by Jeff Bloom.
