Great racing coming up this weekend at Belmont Park! We've got five stakes races starting Friday through Saturday. Friday's first Post Time is 12:20 PM ET, and Saturday's first Post Time is 12:20 PM ET as well. Here's the preview:

Friday:

The $100K Flat Out Stakes — 1 3/8 miles, Turf, Four-year-olds and Upward. Post Time is 1:36 PM ET.

ROCKETRY is the 2-1 morning-line favorite for trainer James Jerkins. He'll be ridden by Manuel Franco and break from post position five. He exits off a victory in the Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance Stakes (G2), which was back in November 2020. He ran his highest speed figure over this Belmont turf course.

MUSICAL HEART is the 5-2 choice for trainer Rob Atras. He enters this contest fit as a fiddle, firing a 4F bullet work on April 23, going 47.21 as the fastest of 21 works at that distance. He's finished in the money in all eight of his last starts, but will try to break through with the win here, with Trevor McCarthy on the saddle.

AIR ATTACK at 3-1 is also in the mix for trainer John T. Toscano Jr., to be ridden by jockey Hector Rafael Diaz Jr.. He seeks his third consecutive victory in what will be his first start at Belmont Park.

Rounding out the field are: BURNING BRIGHT, AJAAWEED, IRISH CORK, and ZOOMER.

The $100K License Fee Stakes — 6 furlongs, Turf, Fillies and Mares, Four-year-olds and Upward. Post Time is 5:05 PM ET.

SWEET MELANIA is the 7-2 morning line favorite for trainer Todd Pletcher. She'll break from post position nine with jockey Jose Lezcano onboard. She was last seen running fourth in the Sands Spring Stakes at Gulfstream Park, which was her comeback race in over five months. This event will be her second start off a layoff, so we can expect her to be sharper this time around. She'd been racing against much tougher graded stakes company in five of her last six races, so she could benefit from this second go at this lower level.

LADY LAWYER is the 4-1 second choice for the Chad Brown barn, to be ridden by Eric Cancel. She'll try to bounce back from her sixth-place effort in the My Charmer Stakes back in December of 2020. She finished second in her only start at this Belmont Park lawn.

SHE'S MY TYPE is the third choice at 5-1 for trainer Christophe Clement. She was last seen running 7th in the Music City Stakes at Kentucky Downs, which was back in September of 2020. Prior to that, she scored a win in the Coronation Cup Stakes at Saratoga, which was another two months back in July. She'll need to overcome the effects of this inactivity, but a plus sign is she earned her highest speed figure at this Belmont Park turf.

Rounding out the field are: I'LLHANDLETHECASH, JAKARTA, INTRODUCED, ROBIN SPARKLES, FLOWER POINT, CARAVEL, and SADIE LADY.

Saturday:

The $200K Westchester Stakes (G3) — 1 mile, Dirt, Four-year-olds and Upward. Post Time is 1:32 PM ET.

DR. POST for trainer Todd Pletcher will make his first start since last September of 2020. He'll try to turn things around here as he searches for his first graded stakes victory. He fired a bullet workout on April 23, going 49.42 as the fastest of 12 works at that distance.

MR. BUFF is also in the mix for trainer John Kimmel. The son of SPEIGHTSTOWN has put together two consecutive victories and is a multi-stakes winner here at Belmont Park. He'll be piloted by Edgard Zayas and break from post position five.

LIMONITE from the fourth-slot enters off a third place effort in the Excelsior Stakes (G3) for trainer Amira Chchakly. He'll be ridden by Eric Cancel as he makes his first start at Belmont Park. He's finished in the money in all four of his last races.

Rounding out the field are: WICKED TRICK, BACKSIDEOFTHEMOON, and TOPSEED.

The $200K Fort Marcy Stakes (G2) — 1 1/8 miles, Turf, Four-year-olds and Upward. Post Time is 2:37 PM ET.

DEVAMANI looms tough from the rail, and is one of three entrants by trainer Chad Brown. He was last seen winning the Knickerbocker Stakes (G2) over this exact trip, but more than six months ago. Well, we've come to know how well Chad Brown can have his horses fire off long layoffs. He'll be ridden by Jose Lezcano while aiming for his second graded stakes victory.

CITY MAN is competitively in the mix for trainer Christophe Clement. He'll break from the fourth-slot and be ridden by Trevor McCarthy. We last saw CITY MAN in the Alex M. Robb Stakes at Aqueduct last December, but he broke through the gate and was ultimately eased. Prior to that, he had won the Gio Ponti Stakes, earning his highest speed figure of his career. He's racing at his highest level but must overcome the five month layoff as he targets his first graded stakes win.

ROCKEMPEROR is the second Chad Brown entrant, and will break from post position two under jockey Manuel Franco. We must go seven months back to his last race in the Turf Classic Stakes (G1) at Belmont Park. He finished fifth but against a much tougher field than he faces today. His last three races were in Grade 1 company so he'll try to move forward with the class relief he gets here.

Rounding out the field are: TRIBHUVAN and WISSAHICKON.

The Sheepshead Bay Stakes (G2) — 1 3/8 miles, Turf, Fillies and Mares, Four-year-olds and Upward. Post Time is 5:37 PM ET.

MAGIC ATTITUDE heads this field of six for trainer Arnaud Delacour. She'll break from the rail and be piloted by Trevor McCarthy. Her noteworthy win was in her U.S. debut back in September of 2020, when she won the Belmont Oaks Invitational Stakes (G1). She followed that up with a solid third place finish in the Queen Elizabeth II Challenge Cup Stakes (G1), where she earned her highest speed figure of her career. But followed that with a seventh place effort in the Hillsborough Stakes (G2) back in March. She'll stretch out for this event as she seeks to return to her winning form.

ALWAYS SHOPPING from the Todd Pletcher stable is also competitively in the mix. She'll break from post four and be ridden by Joe Bravo. This daughter of AWESOME AGAIN has not been worse than second in all five of her last starts, and finished a solid second last time out in the Orchid Stakes (G3), which was run at this mile and three-eighths distance in question. She's a Grade 2 winner on dirt, but is still out to prove herself at that same level on turf.

ORGLANDES is the Chad Brown trainee from post position three. She'll be ridden by Eric Cancel as she seeks her third consecutive victory. We last saw her winning the Red Carpet Handicap (G3) at Del Mar, which was run at this mile and three-eights distance in question. In that effort, she earned her highest speed figure of her lightly-raced U.S. career.

Rounding out the field are: MUTAMAKINA, ANTOINETTE, and MY SISTER NAT.
