Tune in to the Great Race Place this Saturday to catch two graded stakes races: The Santa Maria Stakes (G2) and the Honeymoon Stakes (G3).

The Honeymoon Stakes (G3) is a one mile and one-eighth event over the turf for three-year-old fillies only. Prominent among the potential field is MADONE from the Simon Callaghan barn. The daughter of VANCOUVER was last seen winning the Senorita Stakes earlier this month at Santa Anita. It was her comeback race and she won despite stumbling at the break. She's won four of five races but it will be her first start over a mile.

QUATTROELLE for trainer Jeff Mullins is in the mix. The daughter of MEHMAS earned her top speed figure last time out in the Providencia Stakes (G3), where she finished fifth over this same one mile and one-eighth distance. If she improves off that effort she should be competitive as she steps up in class.

GOING GLOBAL is a filly that is heating up from the Philip D'Amato barn. She's won three races in a row, all at Santa Anita, with the latest win being the Providencia Stakes (G3) over the above, Jeff Mullins-trainee. In preparation for this race, she worked 5F in 1:01.00 on May 16th as the 4th fastest of 11 works at that distance.

Rounding out the probable field are: GOLDEN, MIDNIGHT DIVA, JIBBER JABBER and TETRAGONAL.

The Santa Maria Stakes (G2) is a one mile and one-sixteenth race over the dirt, for Fillies and Mares, three-years-old and upward. Per HorseRacingNation there are only three probables so far.

The first one is AS TIME GOES BY for trainer Bob Baffert. The daughter of AMERICAN PHAROAH comes off a win in the Santa Margarita Stakes (G3) last month, where she won by almost ten lengths. She'll be tough as she has never failed to hit the board and is improving with every start.

CE CE will make things interesting from the Michael McCarthy barn. The ELUSIVE QUALITY mare comes off an Allowance stakes score back in April, in what was her come back race off a five-month layoff. She is a dual-Grade 1 winner and should be ready to roll. She worked 5F on May 15th going 1:00.40, the 12th fastest of 58 works at that distance.

MISS STORMY D enters the race from the Carla Gaines stable and seeks her first graded stakes victory. The daughter of TAPIZAR was last seen running second in an Allowance race back in April. She owns a decent second-place finish in the La Canada Stakes (G3) over this same distance, and could be quit competitive if she runs back to her early 2020 form. Her highest speed figure was achieved over this Santa Anita track.
