MANDALOUN and NY TRAFFIC have both arrived and are settling in at Monmouth for this weekend's stakes racing action.

MandalounMANDALOUN arrived from Churchill Downs early this morning. He will be competing in Sunday's Pegasus Stakes as a prep for the Haskell on July 17th. He received a refreshing bath this morning by Blake Cox and Hugo Garcia. He then took a walk around the backside to get comfortable and familiar with his new surroundings.

MANDALOUN, by INTO MISCHIEF, last raced in the Kentucky Derby finishing second behind MEDINA SPIRIT and skipping the PREAKNESS and BELMONT to prepare for the Pegasus and Haskell. He will be ridden by Florent Geroux, who has not raced at Monmouth Park since the new whip rule has gone into effect.

NY TRAFFIC also arrived by van this morning for trainer Saffie Joseph, Jr. He will take on nine other horses in the $150,000 Salvator Mile (G3) on Saturday. His last start was an allowance race on May 2nd, 2021 at Belmont Park going seven furlongs on the dirt and was ridden by Irad Ortiz Jr. Prior to this race, his last two starts were the 2020 Kentucky Derby where he finished eighth and the 2020 Preakness where he finished ninth.
