The California Horse Racing Board is scheduled for a teleconference meeting on Wednesday, June 16th, 2021 at 9:30 AM, to discuss issues concerning race dates, racing conditions, fire prevention, entry conditions, specific drug substances or medications implemented by a track, licensing, and a host of other "action items", which can be found here.
Meeting by means of teleconference is consistent with Governor Gavinn Newsom's Executive Order N-29-20, which states: Order N-20-20 allows local or state legislative bodies to hold meetings via teleconference and to make meetings accessible electronically without violating the open meeting laws found in the Bagley-Keene Act or the Brown act.
Well, let us see how far we've come in 2021 and consider any benefits from the "avalanche of reforms" over the previous years.
Wednesday's discussions in the teleconference should reveal what kind of positive changes we can expect to liberate Horse Racing with, from its seemingly unceasing condemnations from extreme activists determined to shut the industry down.
