LADY DYANAFORMER'S first start was June 17th, 2021 at Belterra Park. She was entered in Race 4, a Maiden Special Weight for accredited Ohio bred maidens, fillies and mares three years old and up, going six furlongs on the dirt. She was ridden by Rafael Mojica, Jr. wearing the purple MareWorthy silks. She handled everything like a professional from being quiet in the paddock to even warming up on the track without a pony for a few minutes.
The starting gates are always a little nerve wracking for young starters and because a couple had difficulties, Dyana got antsy and was backed out. Then she didn't exactly want to go back in! After a couple of kickouts, she did reload and a few seconds later, the gates opened. She had an awkward start and took a bit to get her legs back under her. Once she did, she went straight to the front and the race was hers from there. She finished first taking the win by 4 ¼ lengths.
Since Dyana's first win, Kyle is looking to up the "stakes" and the Waltz Racing Stable will have her ready to hit the "turf" - if you know what I mean...
While it's easy to focus on the big name horses and the big name jockeys, part of what makes racing amazing and fun is that there are great people and great horses at every level of the sport. Horse Racing Radar is here to not only tell the stories of the big names, but to celebrate the accomplishments of those that are just starting out and watching them grow and achieve their dreams. We wish Kyle, Dyana, Dyana's Fan Club and all of her connections the best and can't wait to continue following your story.
