Jockey Trevor McCarthy recently took to Social Media to reflect on the two-horse spill that occurred on Sunday's fourth race at Los Alamitos.

The spill involved fellow rider Alexis Centeno and his mount, SHERLOCK, plus Trevor McCarthy and his mount, CREATIVE PEAK.

Trevor expressed how the incident was an example of how dangerous their profession is, and that luckily, all were okay.

Trevor confirmed with HRR's Shawn Drupp that he [Trevor] and Centeno both "walked away okay." Both riders were released from the hospital following the incident.

The two horses involved in the spill were: SHERLOCK, the son of STAY THIRSTY; and CREATIVE PEAK, the son of CREATIVE CAUSE. Both horses escaped serious harm. SHERLOCK for the most part was okay; he suffered some scrapes and cuts on his left side, according to Los Alamitos steward Tom Ward. CREATIVE PEAK was examined by veterinarian Dr. Dana Stead and was not injured, per Paulick Report.

Trevor also shared a picture of himself in a parking lot, holding an order of In-N-Out Burger. He gave us the thumbs-up to indicate his positive spirits after the incident.

Shawn Drupp contacted Katie McCarthy (Trevor's wife) via text message about the spill. Katie expressed that at first, she was freaking out. But knowing the business, once you hear he's okay then you know he's okay. Trevor's agent kept her updated and she got a lot of updates from people in the Racetrack, which she said was really nice of them. "Makes you realize what a big family the race track is." —Katie McCarthy
